How to make this recipe
°1-1/2 pounds lean beef
°1 white onion
°1 large green pepper, cut into cubes
°2 tablespoons brown sugar
°1 t Worcestershire sauce
°2 t mustard
°1 t garlic salt
°1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
°Half a c of ketchup
°2 cups all-purpose gold medallion flour
°3 teaspoons baking powder
°1 teaspoon salt
°1-1/3 cup milk
°6 tablespoons melted butter
°2 large eggs
°1-1/2 c cheddar cheese
Heat oven to 400 degrees F .
In skillet on medium heat, cooking ground beef to browned. Add the chopped onion and sweet pepper and saute for 5 minutes until softened.
Adding brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, dried mustard, & garlic salt.
Add tomato sauce and ketchup and stir until well combined.
Allow the mixture to simmer over low heat while preparing the toppings.
To decorate, add flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
Add milk, melted butter, and eggs until well combined.
Add grated cheese.
Pour meat mixture into a 13″ x 9″ baking dish.
Spread the bag over the meat mixture evenly.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until crust is golden.
