Chicken Chow Mein with the Best Chow Mein Sauce

Ingredients for Chicken Chow Mein with the Best Chow Mein Sauce:
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast (cut into bite-sized strips)
3 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
Chow Mein noodles (12 oz) (uncooked)
2 quarts of cabbage
1 big julienned carrot
sliced green onions (half a bunch)
2 cloves garlic
Sauce for Chow Mein:
Oyster sauce, 6 tbsp.
3 tbsp soy sauce (low sodium)
3 tbsp. sesame oil (light) (not toasted)
1/2 gallon of chicken broth
cornstarch, 1 tbsp
1 tbsp. sugar (granulated)
Directions:
Prepare the Chow Mein Sauce in the first step.
Step 2: Whisk together oyster sauce, granulated sugar, sesame oil, soy sauce, chicken broth, and cornstarch in a small mixing dish. Remove from the equation.
Step 3: Prepare the noodles as directed on the package, drain, rinse with cold water, and set aside.
Step 4: Preheat the oven a large wok or large sauté pan with olive oil over medium heat. When the oil is hot, add chicken and cook until golden brown. Remove chicken and set aside. Step5: Add carrots, cabbage and pressed garlic and sauté for just a few minutes until veggies are slightly softened and the cabbage is a bit translucent. Step6: Add chicken and noodles back into the pan. Pour sauce over the top and continue cooking all the ingredients together for another 2 minutes. Step7: Garnish with chopped green onions and it is ready to serve. Enjoy!
