a half teaspoon of cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
6 oz. or 3/4 cup Half a can of 7-Up or similar
How To Make Apple Dumplings Like The Pioneer Woman
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease an 8-inch square baking dish.
Each apple should be cut into 8-10 wedges.
Remove the apple skin and set it aside as well.
Make triangles out of the crescent roll dough.
Starting at the wide end, roll each apple wedge in crescent roll dough.
Place the apple in the baking dish with a pinch to close and cover it. It’s easier if you dry the apple wedge beforehand.then wrap dough around it.} Melt butter in a small saucepan and stir in the sugar and cinnamon. Heat, whisking to combine. The mixture will slowly combine and thicken. When it’s thickened, remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour cinnamon mixture over the apple dumplings. Pour soda over the dumplings. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown!
