The prime rib!

5-pound prime rib

Italian seasonings

Garlic salt

Butter (soft)

For the first step, I start by cutting the 5-pound prime rib in half. Then, with butcher twine, I tie it back together. Then I take soft butter, mix garlic salt with some time, and mix it well.

Spread your butter all over the prime rib. Then add some Italian seasonings and kosher salt to the outside with some pepper. Before you cook your meat, you should make sure it is at room temperature. A lot of things are important

When you put your oven on 500, cook it for 5 minutes per pound. A meat probe would be great to use while it’s cooking.

Then after about 25 minutes, turn the oven down to 200 and cook for about 2 to 3 hours, or even longer, until the meat reaches an internal temperature of about 140 or so.

Then take it out and let it rest for about 15 to 20 minutes before cutting it.

That’s how prime rib should be served.
