Smothered Hamburger Steak, the best homemade steak ever
Ingredients:
●2 large eggs
●1 can cream of onion soup
●1 can of water
●2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
●½ onion, chopped
●1 tbsp beef bouillon powder
●2 pounds lean ground beef
●1 tsp garlic powder
●Salt and pepper to taste
●½ tsp Italian seasoning
●2 slices bread, diced fine
Instructions:
In a bowl scramble the eggs
Mix in the bouillon powder, onion and salt and pepper
Soak the bread in the liquid
Add meat to the bowl, kneading the mixture with your hands until it is well combined
Shape the meat mixture into 8 evenly sized patties
Place the patties into a skillet and cook for 4 minutes per side
Remove from the pan and set to the side for a few minutes
In the same skillet, add the soup mix, water and Worcestershire Sauce and mix well
Place the patties back into the skillet, lower the heat to a simmer, cover the pan and simmer for 30 minutes
Remove from heat and let sit for 5 minutes. Serve with gravy over the top of the steak.
